Human Mass Extermination is a slamming brutal death metal band created in Cartago, Costa Rica, by Bryan Sánchez (vocals), Jean Carlo Peña (drums), and Daniel Peraza (guitar). It started in 2014 when the members, due to their love for the subgenre, decided to form an aggressive and brutal band, thus being the first of its kind in the country.
Later, with several songs already written, they began to play their first shows with a wide variety of bands. A year later, they started to record what would be the first demo titled Humanity: the alien project, clearly influenced by their passion for science fiction, space, and extraterrestrial themes.
In 2015 guitarist Daniel left and Andrés Dolmus joined on guitar, as well as Bryan Fernández on bass, with whom in 2017 the recordings for the first full-length would begin.
In 2018, Daniel and Bryan Fernández left the band and Roger Aguilar (guitar) and Gabriel Villalobos (bass) joined the lineup. By 2019, the first full-length Under Extraterrestrial Domain was released under the UK label Rotten Music. It was well received and the band received its first invitation for their first show outside the country.
Finally, in 2019 Dolmus left the band and Diego Quesada joined on second guitar to give the band a more mature and balanced sound.
In 2021, the band finished the recording of Galactic Extinction Anomalies, which was planned to be released under the Russian label Inherited Suffering Records in the early months of 2023. In July 2022 the band released its first official video, Exobiological Extinguishment, from its incoming album on the Slam Worldwide YouTube channel.
In January 2023, the band released its second full-length album Galactic Extinction Anomalies, along with a new lyric video for Preemptive Black Hole Elimination on the Slam Worldwide YouTube channel.
In June 2024, the band released the Central America Brutal Synergy split with Cráneo (Guatemala), Cadejo (Honduras), Repugnant Disorder (El Salvador), and Ureterectomy (Nicaragua), under the United States label Abominable Records. The band played live at Cagadal Fest in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
